Director of Loan Operations
The NC Rural Center manages several lending programs that promote economic growth and job creation and retention in two primary focus areas:
- Across all 100 North Carolina counties
- Within Truist Bank’s seventeen state footprint.
The suite of programs total approximately $200 million in assets under management.
The Director of Loan Operations maintains responsibility for the overall loan operations management and supervision of the loan operations staff for CornerSquare Community Capital (CornerSquare) and the NC Rural Center’s State Small Business Credit Initiatives (SSBCI) programs. This includes boarding, servicing, compliance and reporting functions for CornerSquare and the Rural Center’s loan portfolios, which currently consist of the Capital Access Program (CAP), Loan Participation Program (LPP), and the Fund of Funds (FOF) program. This position will oversee and direct the entire process from lender application through commitment to loan closing, funding and payments.
The Director of Loan Operations will design and administer loan system processes and procedures to ensure accurate and timely processing. This position is ultimately responsible to lead, train and supervise the operations staff to ensure the department meets organizational goals. Responsible for the audit of loan operation activity, review of daily reports for accuracy, and development of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Communicates with external partners to promote efficient and accurate workflow while also establishing positive working relationships.
